Rides are appropriate for 16+ and helmets are required. We’ll be taking a “Puddingstone Tour”, visiting 4 locations in Dorchester that have rock outcroppings and 1 Puddingstone Parish. Learn about Metro Boston’s geological history, including Roxbury Puddingstone, Mattapan Volcanic Complex and more! Hear famous Boston-poet Oliver Wendell Holmes’ verse “The Dorchester Giant” read a-top this millions years-old rock! The route is 10-miles long, with about half of that distance along off-road paths.
